Janet Manson, PhD is an accomplished medical writer with over a decade of experience distilling complex scientific information into clear, substantive content across multiple therapeutic areas. She began her career as a microbiologist, earning her PhD from the University of Otago before completing postdoctoral research fellowships at Harvard Medical School, and Northeastern University.

Pivoting to medical communications in 2011, Janet honed her skills writing and editing review articles and conference proceedings, for publications such as European Neurological Reviews, US Neurology, European Endocrinology, US Endocrinology, European Oncology and Haemotology, and US Oncology and Hematology Review. After moving back to the US, Janet spent two years at a medical communications agency, where she wrote manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks, with a specific focus on breast cancer.

Janet's expertise includes drafting proposals and needs assessments for continuing medical education initiatives, developing content strategy, and conducting literature reviews and knowledge gap analysis. Now based in California, Janet balances her passion for medical writing with enjoying time with her family as a freelancer. Her scientific acumen, exceptional writing abilities, and commitment to excellence make her a valuable partner for any medical communications initiatives.
